YOU is the website for the most important people in ChildStory, children and young people.
From early 2018, YOU will provide children and young people with:
- access to their own information
- an easy way to record their life story work
- the ability to interact online with their FACS caseworker (if they have one).
YOU currently provides information for 15–25-year-olds who are, or have been, in out-of-home care. It encourages them to know their rights, plan for the future, and ask for support to help them make informed decisions.
Resolve is an app to give young people a hand with all the tricky stuff when they’re thinking about leaving care. It’s got heaps of information about relationships, health, education, alcohol and other drugs, money, getting a job, negotiating family relationships and finding a place to live. Resolve can also be used to set goals to tackle some of the big stuff like getting a driver’s license. It’s easy to use and can be personalised to an individual’s needs and circumstances.
Resolve has been developed by FACS, CREATE Foundation, Klyp and the Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability, in collaboration with young people.
